Propose a Random Act of Art in Parker's Creative District
Parker Creative District is one of the many aspects that make Parker a great place to live and work. With dozens of outdoor festivals and events, great cultural facilities and authentic historic properties, the Creative District offers arts and culture experiences right at your front door.
To make the Creative District even more of a vibrant arts and entertainment destination, we are seeking “Random Acts of Art”— temporary exhibits and public performances or cultural events that occur in the Creative District. This could include sculptures, art installations, murals, performances, festivals, streetscapes, and more. The only limitation is your imagination! Funds up to $750 per project are available for artists, community groups and businesses with a creative idea and the energy to make it happen.
TO APPLY, SEND A LETTER with the following information to:

While projects are not guaranteed to receive support, the Committee hopes to recommend funding for several diverse and entertaining creative activities over the course of the year. Criteria to be recommended for funding include artistic quality and uniqueness of the project, and your ability to carry it out as evidenced by your budget. Previously funded projects include crocheted tree bikinis, colorfully painted tires, sidewalk chalk art, utility box wraps, Saturday afternoon roaming musicians, and Tuesday night gazebo gatherings.
Requests will be reviewed by the Creative District Executive Committee at their monthly meetings.
